How the Portal handles your information.

My Glass Cookbook collects only the information needed to run the Portal, understand what artists find useful, and respond when you contact us.

Last updated: July 20, 2026

Information you choose to provide

If you sign up for studio notes, the Portal receives your email address. If you submit a resource, correction, community listing, or partnership inquiry, the Portal may receive your name, email address, links, and the notes you enter.

This information is used to provide the requested newsletter, review your submission, respond when appropriate, and maintain the Portal.

Site analytics

The Portal uses Plausible Analytics and related first-party event measurement to understand page visits and which features are useful. Measurement may include the page viewed, referral information, browser or device details, approximate geographic context, search terms entered in Portal search, and interactions such as opening a resource, saving an item, or submitting a form.

Analytics are used to improve the Portal and are not used to build advertising profiles. The Portal's custom interaction tracking respects a browser's Do Not Track setting.

Information saved in your browser

The saved-learning list and theme preference use localStorage. That information stays in your browser unless you clear it, export it, or remove saved items. The Portal does not currently provide an account that synchronizes this information between devices.

Service providers

Netlify hosts the Portal and processes Portal form submissions. Plausible provides website analytics. These providers may process limited technical or submitted information to deliver their services.

Sharing and retention

My Glass Cookbook does not sell personal information. Information may be shared with service providers that operate the Portal, when required by law, or when necessary to protect the Portal and its visitors.

Newsletter and submission information is retained only as long as it is useful for the purpose for which it was provided, operational records, or legal obligations.
